I am beyond thrilled to start our school year together and cannot wait to meet you at our Back to School Night on Monday, August 28th!

In his Welcome email, Principal Glimco attached a short letter of introduction I wrote to introduce myself to the SVF community. You can go ahead and click here  if you’d like to read it over again.

When speaking with Ms. Mirabile, we discussed some additional applications we’d like to ensure the students have downloaded on their iPads. In addition to Kahoot! and a QR Scanner we ask that you download the following Apps if they are not already downloaded:
  • Showbie
  • Notability (This is a paid app. There is a one time fee of $9.99 and this app will be used throughout 5-8th grades. Once it is purchased it will not need to be paid for again.)
  • Google Docs
  • EDUcreations
  • Adobe Spark Page & Adobe Spark Video
  • Houghton Mifflin Harcourt eTextbooks (Science & Spanish Textbook App)
  • McGraw-Hill K-12 ConnectEd Mobile (Social Studies Textbook App)

I realize there are a lot of apps here. If you are having trouble downloading them or locating them, please shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to help. Most require codes or accounts to access and we will handle all of that in the classroom!

Finally, I know Ms. Mirabile asked parents to complete an optional homework assignment. As an effort to get to know you and your student better, but also to save you time, if you feel comfortable doing so, please feel free to email me that letter as well.
